Every Halloween at midnight, Willa the Switch Witch from Dinkum Dolls by Olli Ella slips from doorstep to doorstep, gathers up the candy left waiting and leaves a small gift in its place. Kind, fair and a little bit magic, Willa calls it a perfectly sensible swap.

This Dress Me Dinky version of Willa arrives ready for her favourite night of the year, with a removable glow-in-the-dark witch dress and hat, and a magnetic sweet she can hold in her mouth.

The switch witch tradition has become my daughter's favorite part of Halloween — she actually gets excited to trade her candy now. The little doll is well made and the outfit is adorable, though I do wish the hat stayed on a bit better.

The little gift Willa leaves behind is such a sweet touch, and my son actually got excited about trading his candy instead of hoarding it. Only wish the outfit came off a bit easier for little hands.

My daughter was skeptical about giving up her Halloween candy, but the idea of a witch leaving a small gift in its place won her over. The little doll is soft and sized right for small hands, though I wish it came with more of a backstory card.
